Red Company - Rules & Behaviour

Post  Admin on Tue Apr 28, 2009 4:50 pm

    Rules of the Company

These are the rules that, by joining the Company, you have agreed to abide by. Let it be known that each and every soldier, regardless of rank or position, must obey these rules, lest they suffer harsh discipline, expulsion from service or, in extreme cases, termination of life.

~ The Company acts and runs as a military unit, so the proper discipline and etiquette is to be observed at all times. Corporals and sergeants are to be addressed by their rank at all times, and officers are to be called "sir". This rule does not apply if the Company member you are addressing is a lower rank than yourself.
Punishment for breaching this law: Five lashes.

~ Never physically or verbally attack another Company member without permission. If there is a dispute between within the ranks, inform your superior and the matter will be dealt with swiftly and cleanly.
Punishment for breaching this law: Thirty lashes.

~ Committing the dishonour of stealing from a fellow Company member will be viewed as a betrayal of trust and treated very harshly.
Punishment for breaching this law: Twenty lashes.

~ Never flee from combat when fighting alongside fellow brethren, for this is greatly dishonourable and cowardly, and will be met with severe punishment.
Punishment for breaching this law: Death by beheading.

~ Conduct yourself accordingly when in the presence of others. You bear the Company reputation upon your chest, do nothing to shame it.
Punishment for breaching this law: Expulsion from Company.

~ Whilst you are a member of the Company, you are not to perform any private contracts put forward to you as an individual, nor are you allowed to discuss the acceptance or denial of contracts offered to the Company, unless you are an officer.
Punishment for breaking this law: Suspension of one weeks salary.

    OOC

~ You should be IC at all times, except in obvious OOC places like general channel, trade channel, etc. If you want to talk OOC with another player, use the whisper function. We communicate IC through guildchat as all Company members are equipped with a fine enchanted pendant that allows long-distance communication.

~ You're expected to show the appropriate level of respect to your superiors when IC, but don't go overboard - there's no need to be overly formal. Furthermore, if you want to play a rebel, that's fine, so long as you're willing to accept the consequences.

~ English should be kept to a readable level at all times, and punctuation and grammar should be kept as perfect as possible. The more serious you sound, the more seriously people will take the guild.

~ Remember, if you don't get caught doing something, you don't get punished for it.
